Awards

I've seen a lot of awards lately floating around. I'm not sure if you are supposed to receive one to give one. I am hereto, forth with breaking the rules, imagine that; because I want to give some. That was a period.

For my friend Debbie in CA that I have always known is a very gifted writer, and a beyouttiful friend who does spread magic; that she calls joy. Believe & Flowers and they will both look so pretty on her blog.

For Kathy, because her blog is wonderful, she also lives in my beloved California hills. I found a friend. Guess which one?

For the Noble Pig, spreading the magic, the calories, the laughs, the hooligans; those adorable hooligans,...sharing the love

For Peach, and the Bean, I found a friend in you. Bean I know you better now than in real life!

For Brenda, Believe, because she always believes in hope for healing.

For the Rocking Pony-- Believe, because she believes in Micah and see him as the beautiful gift that he is.

I'd like to find some others. Chesapeake Bay Woman needs a most hilarious award, she could take her act on the road, no kidding, seriously. In the mean time how about Brilliant, brilliantly FUNNY

Flea for being a good encourager and so brave at sharing, the hidden closets of life.
some, Flowers for her.

Heidi for being a hoot. You make my day.
Have a bouquet every new mommie needs some.

Ladies of the House, for sharing food, BEAUTY, picchas, and stories,....
so you see I am shopping for some cute little stickers to spread around.
Flowers

So here they are, right click, upload to photos, new post, upload to blogger. WHO said an old lady can't learn new tricks? Remember things? Flea started this and it sounds fun.

The Memory Game
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Thank you so much! I love pretty flowers!

Memories ... like the corners of my mind ... I don't really know or like that song. Let's see ...

I remember being surprised to see different floral scenes or landscapes in your header periodically. :) Very cool, that. And I remember seeing your dogs in the side bar and falling in love with your blog.

Hey thanks for the flowers! I haven't received any since Mother's Day.

I remember you saying you were going to get a pair of Peri-panties for us as a contest reward... I'm still waiting...

I remember the story you told about your night at work and how crazy it was. I think there was a nekkid patient involved? It was hysterical and one of my favorite posts.

Awww, thanks so much for the award. I love that you believe in Micah, too.

You are so sweet!

My memory of you is your straight answers and honesty about things. I love that!

My sweet, precious friend,

You always make me feel so special and loved. You give awards in the neatest fashion. I'm so overwhelmed with the whole bloggy-blogness that I'm just gonna say "Thank you ever so much" and blow virtual hugs and kisses (wait can you blow a hug? -- sounds dangerous at best ... ah gee, you'll figure it out and if anybody gets hurt you can bandage them up). I'll deal with uploading, downloading, unloading, reloading,or whatever the proper term is at a bit later date.

For you my dear, I haven't come across an award that fully fits all you mean to me. So, I'll just call you "Sister" -- I LOVE YOU! : )

p.s.
Memory ... hmmmmm ... I've got a LOT of them to scroll through. Well, how 'bout the most touching:

One night at about 11:30 pm I hit rock bottom with some "issues" Gary and I had been dealing with involving a business partner that was also our neighbor (yeah, real smart to move your business partner and family in next door and then get to know them -- but I digress). Feeling completely at a loss of which way to turn I called you, "my employee," (we sure crossed over that line BIG time didn't we?) just to ask for prayer. You talked just a bit and said, "Hold on honey, I'm on my way!"

I hung up and just sat there with tears streaming down my face. You zoomed up in your racey white chevy, hopped out IN YOUR BATHROBE, came flying into my living room, and gave me the biggest hug I have EVER had! We cried, prayed, hugged more, and even laughed. I have never felt so unconditionally loved in my entire LIFE! Though the troubles themselves didn't fade one iota, my strength and self-esteem grew by giant leaps.

Over the past 10+ years our lives have taken many twisty turns, but we are always side-by-side just like sisters with our hearts knit together despite the miles between. You are SO SPECIAL TO ME! XOXOXOXOX ...

I still have the beautiful crocheted blanket that you made for Bonnie Kate when she was a baby. Hard to believe that she's three and a half now. I plan to put it up and save it for her to use for her babies one day.

Good morning Karen! I'm sorry I've flitted thru your blog lately. I have read your stories and like them, just been kind of ho-hum. Glad you guys are doing great, so keep up the stories! I might play the memory game, not sure, but not today.
Hope the rest of your week goes great!

Seems I remember driving to Big Sur and someone, (YOU) had to pee with no facility in site so we pulled over to the side of the road and you went in some sort of container while my sister in law pretended to take pictures of you with her hand (as if it were a camera, you get the picture)and we were laughing so hard we almost fell over the cliff. How your bladder held that much I will never know. On and on and on you went!!!!
truly, truly
Lucy

Memories....
your sweet, medical responses to my crazy cowboy husband and his stubborness and mishaps;

your funny nursing stories;

your beloved 'puppy' in heat;

your concern when fires exploded in CA and I was negligent in my blogging;

so many more! I consider you a dear friend, isn't that the craziest thing in this funny blogging world?

HUGS!
