I Don't Know What To Say.

Heather is gone. She packed up her car, took her dog and headed back to California. The girls have been with us for 3 years as of this month.

The positives;

she finished a year in college.

she has good work experience.

she took the dad gum dog.

she is rooted and grounded in the Lord. Maybe her little sister and brother need her.

she's got guts to go drive across the country by herself.

The negatives;

it looks impulsive, she just left and left us a note.

we are mad, sad, feel had, too bad.

her sister and friends are so bummed.

her room is a dad gum mess, and I really can't set fire to it. I just cleaned up a big mess from smoke.

#2.
I am working another day tomorrow. I will pack up irises this week after I rest up a little. The colors are not known, you'll be surprised. They are nice and healthy. I'll be scrounging up some boxes and getting busy with that.

that kinda stinks she just left a note... I hate goodbyes anyhow, but I could never just up and leave.

I hope she has a safe trip though :)

She probably couldn't face you guys to say goodbye... but I am sure she has not left your life for good.

I have a feeling she will be back... :)that age is SO filled with wanderlust - if she is grounded in the Lord, you got NOTHIN to worry about! You have done all you guys can to give her the best life to grow up in.. LOVE YOU!! Keep your chin up and pray hard.

*hugs*

Sometimes it's too painful to say good bye. Letting go is even harder.

You raised her well. She has spread her wings. I have to agree with others, it is sometimes too hard to say goodbye, not that it is the right way to do things, but when you are young, the easiest. From earlier posts, we know she loves you. ((((HUGS)))))

Well this had to be a surprise to you both. I can see why you're stunned. Maybe she thought, in her own inexperience, that this would be easier on all of you. I don't know.

Please try to remember this..., "That your children are not your children. / They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself."
Kahlil Gibran

I'm wishing you a sense of peace that I hope surrounds you and gives you a hug..., and at some point a phone call from Heather.

Pray. That's the most that we can do as parents. She'll be fine as long as she's walking with God.

This is the last thing I thought I would hear when I came over here today. I am so sorry...you are all in my thoughts and prayers...yeah, even the dag gum dog! You've done a wonderful thing, lifting her up and giving her wings. May the Lord's Grace be with you and your family. jj

Oh My Dear . . . I just had the most awful day dealing with the IRS and their inept system. I breathed a big sigh when I untangled the mess. "Whew! Life can be so trying sometimes," I said to myself. I pouted a bit and then went out to dinner.

I returned home and read your post and wept . . . knowing now I had no such thing as a trying day.

Sweet friend, my prayers are with you. I will be calling you soon. We're due a catch up. 'Til then . . . remember how BIG God is and how personally Heather knows Him.

Much Love,
Debbie

WOW!! That is a surprise. I wish her well. Would have been nice if she had cleaned up her room :)

Since I'm new here I feel unqualified to give any opinion or advice other than God loves her even more than you do and as long as she is walking with him she'll be alright, and will probably be back. I emailed you my address.
BE BLESSED :-)

Just now seeing this. I've been TRYING to spend less time online. HA!

I'll be praying for Heather though I did see your update.

BTW, did you get my email today about picking stuff up for the yard sale?
