I am getting old and wrinkled. Pictures can depress me and I am not fishing I really can see the age happening. I better get cool with it quick. I have been cutting my own hair, I like it. What do you think?
These are my new reading glasses. They are very comfortable, and the frames were only 10 bucks! The lenses well that is a nuther story, gee whiz-highway robbery!
Is it my imagination or are these brand new glasses ridiculously crooked? I kept telling the lady they looked "askew". Maybe she needs her eyes checked! Makes my face look funny. Go ahead and ROTFLYAO.
Check out the side shot, this is why I picked these I thought they looked pretty cool. You know how it is when a granny tries to upgrade, a bit scary.
Good hair cut---if I don't say so myself. You don't have to be impressed I was a hairdresser in my old life. I don't even have to style it, get out of the shower and fluff it, add a dab of oil and that's it. What? You hate me? No, don't do that just come on over and I'll do your hair for you. Then we can pig out on bread.
Kayla strung up the peppers! She used to have a Mexican neighbor that taught her a lot of neat things. She keeps telling me she knows how to make tortillas. I think I'm going to let her have a crack at it.
OK so what's your vote on the glasses? #1 they'd look alright if they were adjusted or #2 take them back and start over?

You look darling! Just get them adjusted. I like em!
a little adjustment and you'll be sittin' pretty! Love the hair too...I may just have to come for a visit and a bread makin' course.. ;p
I like them too, just get them adjusted.
And for future purchases, check out www.zennioptical.com. They are awesomely cheap! I got my frames and lens total for $40. My pastor got his no line bifocals for $50.
:-)
I love your haircut. I have had "beautician" problems for many years. In fact, I have been growing out my hair for the last 13 weeks...yikes! I have a haircut scheduled in a week at my daughter's salon. Problem is...even if I like it a lot, I still have to find someone new when I get home. How can someone find a person who can cut hair the way the hair grows? I am scared to go searching for someone new again.

Looking good all around. I like the glasses. Really cute style. Butterfly's eyes are crooked and we have to have one specific person adjust her glasses. The glasses need to be crooked to look straight. And your haircut looks good, too. I cut mine, and it is usually OK, but never quite as nice as when I go get it done. Tell Kayla she did good on the peppers. I always wanted to know how to do that with peppers. Such a useful talent. God bless. :)
Your glasses are adorable! You hair looks good too. Looks like a great day in paradise!!
Can't really see the glasses that well. Put them on the larger photo. Love the haircut. Man, how lucky. Everyone else fusses and--at least for me--are never satisfied with the hair.
The glasses look fine... just take them back for adjustment. I got new prescription sunglasses recently and had to get them adjusted 3 times before they looked right.
You are lucky you can do your own hair! I have to pay through the nose to get mine done.
I think the glasses look great! And your hair, too.
This coming from someone who has terminal bad hair. I REALLY notice great hair.
You should have done a tutorial on how to tie together and hang the peppers. I, for one, would like to learn the technique. I may grow some next year.
Go ahead, let her have a crack at the tortillas. AND TAKE PICTURES! tee hee
A) Your glasses are darling, and I do think you're right - a bit askew. Darling regardless.
B) The hair rocks. You do a wonderful job. I'm jealous.
C) You've lost weight, haven't you?
You just need to have them tweak them...they are cute! Almost as cute as you!
Hey Karen, just talked to Suzy about your glasses. If you have a Sams Club over there you can get great glasses with all the belss and whistles for less than $300. Mail order sounds great but I worry about the fit and lining up the site. etc. Hope this helps, Shelly in Jax.
I'm thinking about taking them back. They hurt my nose and they are so out of whack I can't imagine them ever being right. I couldn't even wear them today for the headache I got.
SAMS out here is more than Walmart. I have an expensive prescription.
thanks Christi for the referral to Zeni. I'm going to check out all those measurements.
Told Kayla bout the peppers and she's thinking of doing a tutorial for her blog.
I love your haircut--I'd love to take your picture to a hairdresser to see if mine could be cut this way!! My hair is so thin and fine, I don't know if they could do it! Love those glasses, too. We old folks (you're NOT!) just need our visual aid!
Nice glasses.
Great Hair cut.
Young Grandma!
alright I have posted a tutoriol on my blog describing on how to dry peppers
The glasses are totally cute! Ditto with the haircut. Can't believe you cut it yourself! Wow.
My glasses are eternally crooked. I have a 4 year old who bonks me with things... And sometimes I bonk myself because I'm a clutz. So my glasses slant down to my left no matter how many times I get them adjusted...
Do you use just scissors to cut your own hair--or do you use a Flowbe (spelling?) sort of thing. I'd really love to start cutting my own, but I wonder about the back.
Trudy I am a trained hairdresser I would not recommend cutting your own hair! I can do it because I can feel pretty well and tell when it's even, it's very hard to cut the back it takes me hours. If I wasn't pinching pennies I'd go to a shop.
