Getting Out of the Dog House

My camera was out of batteries this morning. I was going to take a picture of my husband painting on his hands and knees. Something about seeing that, is getting him out of the doghouse. He is working on the hall.

Somebody was really relaxed. I missed the shot where he was lying with all 4 paws just sprawled. When I moved to get the camera, he turned to look at me, and moved his front paws. Tucker is somehow related to Garfield. I am sure of it.

This is what I plan to do today. Copy the cat and lay around and eat.
I have a cold so Happy New Year! I won't be drinking much or celebrating much. I went out today and bought my stash of cold drugs and Puffs. It's amazing how fast a nose can get sore. Kayla brought this mess home. She has been sick as stink. My hope is for a smaller version of what I saw her get.

*Washes hands wildly*

This was my holiday baking in total.

One grande home made banana pudding.
One apple cider nut bread.

So how then did I gain 5 pounds?

Was it one large bag of mint chocolate M&M's? And 2 bags of Hershey's Mint Truffles Kisses? How about the holiday creamer for coffee? Pumpkin Spice or Chocloate Mint Truffle? You think so? How much did you gain? Go ahead and tell. I double dog dare ya!

Which brings me to the subject of, New Year's resolutions.  Actually I make it a resolution not to make resolutions. BESIDES losing weight has anybody thought of anything really inspirational for a New Year's Resolution? If you have a great one maybe I'll sign up.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year!

My New Year's resolution is to pray for each and every person that orders something from my bakery. I think about them while cooking and pray they would love the food and that they would allow God's presence into their home and business. I have been doing that for awhile now and it is amazing the difference you can make in a person's life--and they don't even know it!

Happy 2010!

I am making a resolution for the first time ever and honestly I'm scared of it, but I really think it will make a difference to me and my family.

I'm resolving to not go to bed with dirty dishes in the sink.

Really, I'm scared. I've never done this or seen this done my entire life. But coming down to a sink full of dirty dishes every day makes me mad from the get go, and so I resolve to change.

I resolve to pray more and stop furrowing my eyebrows...

Happy New Year, Sweet Friend!

My New Year's resolution:

Not to make judgments about other people's light, but to obey the light given to me by God and all that concerns me alone. To love without judgment. (Whew! I'll be on my knees A LOT about this one!)

May you find blessings abundant in 2010.

Love,
Debbie

Happy New Year.
Here is mine:
If I can't say something nice about someone, just keep my mouth closed and say nothing at all. Sounds simple enough doesn't it?

I don't make New Year's resolutions, but my old Dad used to say "start the year like you want to continue". He put on new socks, made a pot of homemade soup, and read a new book on January 1st so he could enjoy warm clothes, good food and a good read all year. I think I'll follow his example today. Hope you get over your cold soon! (I recommend ginger root tea and honey.) Happy, healthy 2010!

I'm with Mental P...I'm not going anywhere near my bathroom scale. If I gained, I don't wanna know!
Tucker is adorable. Looks all cozy and relaxed.
Did not make one resolution this year. I haven't had time to think about it. Well, maybe when I was sick, but the only resolution I felt like thinking about was FEELING BETTER!

So sorry you're sick... I'm just getting over that crud.

Step away from the cold medicine, though. Only covers your symptoms and makes you stay sick longer since it undoes everything your body is trying to do. Just say "no" to drugs. :-) I recommend several pots of strong tea made of fresh ginger root and also takes some extra cod liver oil.

No resolutions on my part-- since I can do nothing by my own hand, anyway. Although, maybe I should resolve to ask God to help me remember that...

I'm hoping that you feel better soon and the rest of the year is healthier for you.

I think I've gained ANOTHER 5 pounds just looking at your baking.

I'm getting sick. But, on the bright side I didn't gain any weight. That's because no one can weigh this much and live! On the down side, I now have to think about dieting in ernest so I won'd die of embarassment, if no heat disease.

PS That banana pudding just put on an extra pound and now I'm crawling off to die. Bad photo. It's a good thing I can't smell it too.
