Distractions!

Lately whenever I go to my computer, I have company.

He may start over here for a few minutes.

Until he wants to know what is so much more interesting than petting him.
If I have a drink he wants that too.

Then he starts patting the keys. I swear he has learned how to open the CD drive because he does it constantly. If that doesn't work he will stand up and start walking across the keyboard.

Pushing him off the desk doesn't work. He is a CAT not a dog and he is persistant. So I try putting the mouse on my leg.
Which interests the kitty-- you know how cats are about mice. So he starts reaching for the wire.

About which time I just give up and give him what he wants.

and then he is content.  I have not accomplished a thing, but the cat is happy.

Well... maybe a happy cat makes for a happy home... hmmm? Did you ever think of that? ;)
Those are some great photos - and a very photogenic cat!

I've got one particular cat who can not stand that I'm not paying attention to her when I'm on the computer, so she does her best to drive me away, and back into the kitchen where she thinks I belong!

On the contrary, you have accomplished much! His highness is content, and that's an accomplishment! ;-)

Sheila :-)

I am awful, I would have pushed him off the desk! Luckily my dogs can't jump on my computer desk!

Looks like you are in company to me! My cat does the same thing, he loves to try to catch the cursor as it moves around, finally giving up to snooze by my side! :D

CATS! You see why I have dogs? My dogs look at me with their big eyes and may even make some little remark but if nothing happens they go lay down until I get up.
Cats, on the other paw, have a need to take things into their own hands. That is why our Annibel lives outside. I don't need to compete with an animal. Life is too short.
But, he is a very handsome cat....

That is just too precious. When we had cats, I had an orange tabby Piglet that used to want to sit right on my bible when I was spending time with the Lord..lol

What a cute post! Your kitty is precious. She certainly seems to be part ham.:-)
Still laughing at your "cat and mouse" observation. Sadly, our kitty stays away from me while on the computer. The dog stays at my feet and she has not become comfortable enough to be in the same room.

I see Miss Boots is not the only kitty who likes to be 'helpful'! He's a darlin'.

Oh my GOSH, Karen, he's SOOOOO GORGEOUS. I mean it's FREAKY how much he looks like my KITTY BABY! Same sweet expression on his face and the markings and hair length are uncanny. I so miss that hangin' out with you that beloved cats do......this is killing me!
