The State of Things.

Today is walk day. I awoke to thunder, lightening, rain and the overwhelming desire to go back to sleep. I tried very hard to talk myself into going. Breakfast did not help. Thunder did not help. Chickens have heads about 2 inches wide. Chickens have enough sense to come out of the rain. So why would I go out into it? My head is wider than 2 inches, so are other anatomical parts but we will not go there now. We will go back to bed.

A couple of hours later, I got up to clear skies. this is Mississippi. If you don't like the weather and wait a little bit, it will change. Really could go for a big walk now. The kitchen is in a glorious state of destruction, which is necessary when you find yourself in the middle of an unplanned remodel. What to do?

I'm thinking blueberry coffee cake. I'm thinking coffee and a nice warm slice of fresh coffee cake with all those blueberries. It's a pretty healthy concoction, kinda like a fritatta pancake. Better than a pancake, no syrup, no butter. I'm feelin this, not feelin the walk. What do you think wins?

That Blueberry cake looks so good! And I know what you mean about rain and sleeping...the yawns come out something terrible when it's dark and gloomy.

Have you ever heard of a Dyson vacuum cleaner? I clean houses for a living and was introduced to those vacuums this year. Wowzer do they work like a dream in the houses I clean that have cats with long hair. I don't know what I would do without them now!
