Southern Divas Rocks

Meet Waylon Garrett, he's the guy who makes me look twenty years younger, ok not, ten. Check out the ear rings, yep you guessed it, definitely not conservative. He's sweet and as far as I'm concerned he's a genius with hair. He needs lots of people who know Jesus sittin in that chair.

While my hair was cookin, he gave this little junior higher a cute do to start school. She was discussing blue streaks with her mom. She looked so cute like this, he gave a high price for two streaks, bravo. He also told them about a kid who had to shave his head, because the school won't let kids come with bright colored hair. Amazing, didn't know schools could still say anything at all, but this is the South. She left blond.

The hairdressor that was taking the pictures for me lost her birth control pills in the shop. She set them down and couldn't remember. Must have needed them because she was freakin out. I was ho ho-ing the Santa belly jiggle. Then Waylon pops up with, "If you have any extra ones put them in your house plants they love it." How would you have extra pills? He's trying to style my hair and it's a moving target. Talk about moving check out the blur his hands are making, pretty cool. Don't look at my chins. I love getting my hair done and then LIKING it!

All these Californians have been making me drool, so here's a little southern charm for you northerners, and anybody else who happens by.

Dontcha just look lovely? Our boys school banned colours in hair, hair touching the collar, too long.. too short. etc etc. They were draconian. I wouldn't have liked blue streaks either !

Okay...so color me clueless.

I was trying to find out if I remembered meeting Lucy by clicking on my blog's stats showing that she had stopped by. So I'm perusing her blog and think...WOW! How sweet, she has my blog listed. And oh...look, that's Jimmy and Karen's finance business linked. And wow...does she ever write like Karen does. Oh! Pictures! Man!!! She looks just like Karen. You can tell why THEY are friends.

And then suddenly it dawned on me...it wasn't Lucy that was so much like Karen, it was KAREN that was so much like Karen!

Yep...I was at THIS BLOG reading YOUR STUFF and not even realizing it. I think all the little kids at the top in your blog topper was what threw me off.

Sigh...

And to think that I'm legally allowed to educate my children at home. Sh-h-h-hhh...don't tell anybody. :S

Your hair always looks so nice. I wish I liked the hairdresser. Alas, my best friend that has done my hair forever had the gall to go and move to another state. Now I hate having my hair done! How do you go about finding a replacement for someone that did your hair EXACTLY the way you like it!?

Well, you definitely look like a southern diva to me. I feel qualified to make that distinction seeing as how I have lived in southern states my entire life. Do you happen to like the movie Steel Magnolias? It's one of my all time faves. My kid starts middle school next year and they have a VERY strict dress code. In one way I like it, but on the other hand it makes it that much harder to shop. Shirts have to be tucked in, belts must be worn. No bulky coats, sweaters must not be too long. Is it me or wouldn't you want your girls wearing longer sweaters? I mean the darn jeans are tight enough as it is. I would like for both my girls to keep their little boodies covered.

Love your new photo in the header! Our kids' school won't allow weird colors in the hair either, and we're Oklahoma. Yay school!

Loved Steel Magnolias, cried like crazy. E you crack me up! BAWAHAA The piccha is of Piglet when she was little. I like to change the photo in the header because it's kinda like a magazine cover, switch it up so it won't get boring, anyway that's what I do. Hopefully E you scrolled down until you saw *LUCY*
YES I want my girls whole bodies covered up and they pretty much are good about that.
Finding a hairdressor? Shoot I just watched this guy while Piglet was getting her hair done by somebody else and I could tell he had it. I guess any higher end salon. I am a bit SHORT actually but it's alright hair grows.
Thans for the comments every body!

I found a great hairdresser while in Mississippi last spring. She cut my hair in a juffy, I looked spiffy, and she served fabulous dessert when we were done. A homeschool mom delights in a home-salon cut. You're great KD -- I MISS YOU! XOXOXOXOX ...

I would NEVER let anyone take a picture of my getting my hair done, but you look cute!

Is this Waylon Jennings Hair God available for long distance hair sessions? Because your hair looks incredible and mine looks like something the cat's been suckin' on all night long.

At least that's what my grandmother always told me.

If he is not available for long distance appointments, give me his address and I'll book a flight immediately.

You are so cute! After my recent hair disaster, it is good to read that your experience with hair was perfect. Mine grows super fast so it can be restyled in no time. Elysa's comment totally cracked me up!
