A Surprise From "I'm Being Held Hostage"

First I am invisible, or at least it seems that way. I could count my readers on one hand. I saw these awards handed out and figured maybe in the next thousand years, or maybe never, and holy mackerel...all of a sudden...
Which is nice, because I almost wiped out my reader-ship (is that a word?) with my flax seed post. Ya'll have weak stomachs, nurses talk about everything. No subject is taboo. We discuss colors, consistencies, exit points of various types, etc,.. Imagine my surprise when I pop in over at "In the Gutter," (see sidebar) and she gives ME an award for being NICE?!?!?!?????? Considering this came on the heels of my rather noxious post, and the fact that I can be brutally forthcoming with all manner of subjects; it is with deep humility and a large measure of skepticism that I accept.
The really nice person is the lady who gave it. I am not so sure I would describe myself as nice. Goofy, funny, straightforward, honest, hard working, generous, ummm did anyone say shy?
Over at "Musings From Graceland" is a photo of Tigger and I three years ago when we went to see E's new baby. She has the loveliest babies. I love babies. some of my best friendships have happened over new babies. Love to inhale them deeply, snuggle them closely, and smooch their little feet. Awhhh now that is nice.

Well, I just read this one post, after I meandered over from Chesepeak Bay Woman, and I can tell you are nice too! Your flowers in your heading are so pretty! AND I totally love the picture of your house!

I don't know how to add stuff in my sidebar. I think the word verification things are wierd too. I don't think I have that feature. Who knows...I don't understand much about these blogs!

Oh what a pretty award K.D.
I know what you mean that medical staff can get pretty gross in their explanations. I worked in the medical field for 10 yrs - 7 of which was in hopsitals and docs offices. I would gross my family out talking about just everyday normal stuff when they'd ask how my day at work was. After I married Chris I started grossing him out. I don't do it so much anymore as it is not a part of my everyday life, but it was fun while it lasted.

You ARE nice and what a great award. I didn't comment last night as I went over to the blogs you mentioned and spent way too much time reading and enjoying.
You didn't lose me with the flax seed, thought it hilarious. Sorry...
Just last night a bunch of us vets attended a mini seminar hosted by a drug company at a very very nice restaurant. So there we are eating our wonderful dinners while watching slides of skin lesions infections and pus; finding it more interesting than gross.
I find the word verification things entertaining and weird.

Oh, see you ARE nice. You always say such nice things in my comment box. And you're NOT invisible, it's summer. I'm just now stepping back into the bloggy pool after what seems to be a very upside down summer.

Happy award day to you!
